Help save Zam!
Planet Boreas – the mystery world of ice, captivated the interest of a research outpost on the fringes of an uncharted solar system.
They assemble a highly trained team of professionals to investigate a surge of radioactive activity, collect core samples and return to the station.
Zam volunteered to accompany the group of four humans, and together with an inspection android they began their mission; only to be greeted by a hostile civilization of ice tunneling creatures that destroyed their spaceship, while the inspection android distracted the attackers, the landing party managed to escape.
Stranded on the surface with limited oxygen, their expedition took another unfortunate turn when an ice storm blew in and crippled several members; driving them into an underground cavern.
Exploring deeper into the frozen subterranean area, Zam discovered the mysterious frozen beings were closing in on their hiding place from connected ice tunnels, and detonated his laser pistol causing a cave-in and blocking their advance, only to trap himself in the process!
Meanwhile, the outpost having picked up the final mayday from the ship, sent prompt reinforcements. Arriving too late, they managed to recover the remaining humans, suffering from shock and hypothermia; and returned to the outpost.
Weeks after the attack, a distant probe picked up Zam’s faint distress call, whose alien body composition allowed him to survive the extreme temperatures of Boreas.
After the monitors on your space ship evaluated the scattered messages, you discovered that Zam used parts of the android to construct a homing beacon and transmitting device, allowing him to broadcast data until the day he froze into a wall of ice.
It’s up to you to venture into this violent environment, cut through the barriers of ice and rescue Zam from his frozen imprisonment!

Hold a Mining Axe, available from the Specials section of the Western Mercantile to dig through the moon crystals.
While you’re digging through the crystals, you could uncover many different alien treasures! Including:
